Help & FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we get most.

Which Facebook URLs are supported?
Reels (facebook.com/reel/<id>), Watch (facebook.com/watch?v=<id>), share/v shortlinks (facebook.com/share/v/<hash>), fb.watch shortlinks, and m.facebook.com mobile URLs. Stories require Facebook login and aren't supported.
What's the difference between HD, SD, Best, and Audio?
HD and SD hand you Facebook's own progressive MP4 URLs — fast, ~720p. Best asks the backend to merge the highest-resolution video stream with the audio track and re-encode to H.264 — full original resolution (often 1080p), ~10–30 s. Audio grabs only the audio as M4A — perfect for ringtones and listening on the move.
Where do downloaded videos go?
Videos save to your iOS Photos library by default. The app also keeps a copy in its sandbox so the in-app player works offline. From the Saved tab you can long-press an item to share, copy URL, or export to Files / iCloud Drive. The Documents folder is also visible in the Files app under "On My iPhone → Grabify".
Audio downloads don't appear in Photos. Why?
Photos only accepts video files. Audio (.m4a) lives in the app's Saved tab — tap to play in the in-app player, or use "Save to Files" from the context menu to export.
I see ‘not a valid Facebook video link’.
Facebook's iOS Copy Link sometimes prefixes the URL with the title (e.g. "Facebook https://..."). Grabify handles that automatically; if you still see the error, paste only the URL portion starting at https://.
Can I download multiple videos at once?
Yes. Each download lives in the Downloads tab and runs in the background. You can paste a new link while a previous one is still processing — they queue automatically.
Best quality takes a while. Is that normal?
Yes — for Best mode, the server downloads the separate video + audio streams from Facebook, merges them with ffmpeg, re-encodes to H.264 (so iOS Photos accepts it), and uploads to a CDN. Typical first run is 10–30 s. Subsequent requests for the same URL hit cache and return in milliseconds.
Does it work on Android / web?
Currently iOS only. The backend is platform-agnostic so an Android or web client could be built — no concrete timeline yet.
Is it free? Are there ads?
Free. No subscription. No ads. No tracking SDKs.
